Radha–Krishna Sushobhan Thali celebrates one of the most cherished expressions of divine love in the Vaishnava devotional tradition. Krishna’s life in Vrindavan is deeply associated with the gopis, his flute and the rāsa-līlā. The Śrīmad Bhāgavatam describes Krishna playing his flute on an autumn night and the gopis being drawn towards him, forming the setting for the celebrated rāsa narrative.
The specific name of Radha is not explicitly mentioned in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam. However, later Vaishnava traditions and commentators identify the especially favoured gopi in the rāsa narrative with Radha, and Radha becomes a central figure in later devotional literature, including Jayadeva’s Gīta Govinda.
