Product Description
Charankamal is a symbolic expression of devotion, created around the sacred form of Charan Paduka, traditionally associated with the presence, blessings and remembrance of the Divine. The lotus-inspired form surrounding the Paduka adds another layer of meaning, as the lotus is cherished in Indian spiritual traditions as a symbol of purity, beauty and spiritual awakening.
The Charankamal gives new purpose to two forms of sacred waste. Its lotus-shaped base is crafted from a thoughtful blend of visarjit Ganesha idol POP waste and kumkum waste, transforming materials that would otherwise be discarded into a meaningful devotional object. The deep red tone of kumkum adds warmth and auspiciousness to its form, while the layered lotus petals create a rich, handcrafted texture.
At the centre, the Charan Paduka becomes the focal point, representing a space of remembrance and reverence. The contrast between the detailed Paduka and the textured lotus base creates a distinctive piece that brings together spirituality, craftsmanship and conscious material transformation.
